MARCH WOMAN – BAÍA FOR ONE CAUSE

In celebration of the International Women’s Day, March 8, MOVART holds a traveling art exhibition in Baía of Luanda and also in the MOVART Gallery, with the aim of collecting funds that will be donated to the Mwenho Association. “Mwenho” means “life” in the seven national languages in Angola. Mwenho is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 2006 by a group of HIV-positive women. Its mission is to promote human rights and contribute to the improvement of medical care for HIV / AIDS infected and affected women and children through social mobilization, advocacy and capacity-building projects.

The artists invited to exhibit at the event are: Joana Taya, Ana Silva, Rita Gt, Daniela Ribeiro, Fineza Teta, Imani, Kassy and Grácia Ferreira who will be representing the feminine force in Angolan art.

Ten percent of the value of sales at the MOVART Gallery this month will be donated to benefit women with HIV / AIDS and all funds collected at this event will benefit the Mwenho Association.
